Senior Staff Nurse, PharmacThe District Family Clinics brand was established in 2024 with the goal of preserving the essence of a neighbourhood community-centric clinic while leveraging technology and economies of scale to enhance patients’ care journeys in an affordable way.

Each clinic under the brand is individually named after the neighbourhood it serves, reflecting its unwavering commitment as a dependable figure to the District.

A defining feature of District Family Clinics is its dedicated full-time multidiscist, Principal Physiotherapist, Social Worker, and Shan, the Group Operations and Procurement Manager. It is this same team that anchors District mHealth, our islandwide healthcare platform that provides home nursing, home medical and home rehabilitation services as well as Teleconsultations and an E-Pharmacy.

Our Story

The District Family Clinics: Rooted in Tradition, Committed to Progress

District Family Clinics was founded in remembrance of the reliability, warmth, and familiarity of the neighbourhood family clinic. Growing up, our founders found comfort in that setting, despite the long wait times and the occasionally moody counter staff (whom we’ve come to miss!).

In contrast, many clinics today have grown overly corporate. To preserve what made the traditional neighbourhood clinic special, every one of our clinics is individually named — a mark of our commitment to reliability, continuity, and long-term service to the District we serve.

Our mission is to honour the essence of the traditional neighbourhood clinic, while leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and continuity of care.

As part of this commitment to accessible, community-based care, we launched District mHealth — our Mobile Health arm. This initiative began early in our journey in response to the needs of residents with mobility limitations, frailty, or complex care coordination needs.

Today, District mHealth provides:

  • Home medical and nursing services

  • Medication reconciliation support by our full-time pharmacist, especially for the elderly

  • TeleConsultations for follow-ups, pre-consult assessments, and patients with mobility challenges

Together, we’re building a healthcare model that remains familiar and personal, while evolving to meet the needs of today’s patients — at home, in a clinic, or virtually.
