

What is a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA)?
A Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) is a legal document that allows any person aged 21 and above to appoint one or more trusted individuals (donees) to make decisions on their behalf in the event they lose mental capacity in the future.
Who Can Apply for an LPA?
You can apply for an LPA if you:

Fee Waiver for Singapore Citizens
The Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) has extended the application fee waiver for LPA Form 1 to all Singapore Citizens until 31 March 2026, to encourage early planning and adoption.
LPA Certification at the District Family Clinics
Your LPA application must be certified by an LPA Certificate Issuer—all doctors across the District Family Clinics are accredited to certify your LPA.
